Beach Club Villas sits on Crescent Lake in the Epcot resort area, and it comes with one enormous advantage that no other DVC resort can match: Stormalong Bay. This three acre mini water park is exclusively for Beach Club and Yacht Club guests, and it's widely considered the single best pool complex at Walt Disney World. For families with pool loving kids, that fact alone makes Beach Club worth serious consideration.
Location: Walk to Two Parks
Beach Club's Crescent Lake location puts you within walking distance of both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The International Gateway entrance to Epcot's World Showcase is about a five minute stroll from the villa building. You'll pop out between the France and United Kingdom pavilions, which means you skip the front entrance crowds entirely.
Hollywood Studios is roughly a 15 minute walk along the Crescent Lake boardwalk path, or you can take the boat that runs continuously between the Epcot area resorts and the park. The Skyliner gondola station at the nearby International Gateway also connects you to Hollywood Studios and Caribbean Beach/Pop Century resorts.
For Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, you'll take a bus. But honestly, having two parks walkable from your front door is a luxury that changes how you approach park days. Pop back to the room for an afternoon nap without dealing with buses. Walk to Epcot for dinner even on non park days. That flexibility is priceless with young kids.
Stormalong Bay: The Real Star
Stormalong Bay is three acres of water features built around a sand bottom pool, a lazy river, a shipwreck replica with a 230 foot waterslide, elevated hot tubs, and separate shallow areas perfect for toddlers. It's not a regular hotel pool. It's a legitimate mini water park that would be a paid attraction anywhere else.
The pool complex is exclusively available to guests of Beach Club and Yacht Club. No day visitors, no guests from other resorts sneaking in. Room keys are checked at the entrance. During busy seasons, you'll appreciate that exclusivity because the pool stays manageable while the larger resort pools at places like Art of Animation are wall to wall people.
For families with kids between ages 3 and 12, Stormalong Bay often becomes the primary activity of the trip. Many Beach Club owners report that their kids would happily skip the parks entirely and spend the whole day in the pool. That's not a joke. It's that good.
Room Types and Points
Beach Club Villas offers Studios, One Bedrooms, and Two Bedrooms. Studios sleep five guests and include a kitchenette. One Bedrooms add a full kitchen, separate living room, washer/dryer, and a king bed in the master. Two Bedrooms combine the One Bedroom with an attached Studio.
Point requirements at Beach Club are moderate compared to monorail resorts. A standard view studio in Adventure Season runs about 10 points per weeknight. During peak Magic Season, that same studio is around 22 points per weeknight. A One Bedroom ranges from 18 to 40 points per night depending on season. These are reasonable numbers for a deluxe resort with this location.
What It Costs to Own
Beach Club contracts trade on the resale market between $130 and $155 per point. Annual dues are approximately $12 per point. Those numbers make Beach Club one of the more affordable deluxe resort options in DVC on a per night basis.
There's one important caveat: the contract expires January 31, 2042. That's roughly 16 years of remaining ownership. Shorter remaining contract life is why resale prices are lower than newer resorts. You're getting fewer years of use for your purchase dollar. For some buyers, that's a dealbreaker. For others who want deluxe resort access at a lower buy in price and plan to use the membership heavily for the next 15 years, it's actually an advantage.
Dining Options
Beaches and Cream Soda Shop is Beach Club's most famous eatery. It's a retro ice cream parlor serving burgers, grilled cheese, and massive sundaes including the legendary Kitchen Sink (a literal kitchen sink filled with eight scoops of ice cream). Cape May Cafe offers a character breakfast with Minnie Mouse and a seafood buffet dinner.
Because you're walking distance to Epcot, you also have access to every World Showcase restaurant without needing park admission for dinner (through the International Gateway after 4pm with a dining reservation). That opens up options like Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, Via Napoli, and Space 220 as neighborhood restaurants.
The New England Theming
Beach Club channels a Cape Cod seaside village with pastel blue and white exteriors, white picket fences, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. It's lighter and more playful than the formal Victorian style at Grand Floridian. The vibe is flip flops and sundresses rather than cocktail attire. For families, that casual tone fits perfectly.
Who Should Own at Beach Club
If your family loves pool time and Epcot dining, Beach Club is hard to beat. It's particularly strong for families with kids under 12 who will get massive value from Stormalong Bay. It's also excellent for food and wine enthusiasts who want to walk to World Showcase restaurants regularly.
The 2042 contract expiration means this isn't for someone looking for 30+ years of ownership. But if you want 15 great years at a premier location with lower buy in costs, Beach Club delivers exceptional value.
